Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulates and oversees energy industries in the economic, environmental, and safety interests of the American public.  FERC is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity. FERC also regulates natural gas and hydropower projects.
